Custom High-end Upholstery

Picture
Only quality fabrics are used.  All patterns are dress-maker matched.
All vine patterns are running matched with welting cut to blend.

All details of the final finish are carefully thought through and implemented.

Interior padding is always replaced with materials appropriate to the period of the piece.

Frames are dismantled, repaired, reglued, redoweled and braced.

Exposed wooden surfaces are repaired and refinished - proper foot pads or castors are attached.

Reproductions

Carefully handcrafted copies of original pieces using the same techniques of construction as the original.

Antique Restoration

Picture
Repairing
- Replacing badly broken or missing parts
- Patching or replacing damaged veneer
- Removing burns, water marks, deep gouges or scratches
- Replacing broken moldings

Refinishing
Repairing existing finish or removing old finish (without removing original patina), then apply a new finish

Conservation
Usually performed on historically valuable pieces - the old finish is never removed but instead restored to its original condition using the same materials as the original finish.  Wood parts, or veneer, are repaired to the extent of making the furniture useable (without the repairs being visible)
